Prequel Assembles Dermatologist Panel to Counter Skincare Misinformation

With skincare advice increasingly cluttered by conflicting digital trends, dermatologist-founded brand Prequel is launching a formal Skin Health Advisory Board. The initiative aims to move beyond product marketing by integrating clinical expertise directly into consumer education, bridging the gap between professional office guidance and daily skincare routines.

Prequel Assembles Dermatologist Panel to Counter Skincare Misinformation

Founded by Dr. Samantha Ellis, Prequel seeks to demystify dermatology for a wider audience. The newly formed board features eight specialists, including cosmetic chemist Iris Lee and seven board-certified dermatologists: Dr. Brittany Oliver, Dr. Kiyanna Williams, Dr. Andrew Park, Dr. Cory Kosche, Dr. Lina Kennedy, Dr. Cheri Frey, and Dr. Divya Shokeen. Their collective experience covers a broad spectrum, from pigmentary disorders and skin cancer research to surgical and cosmetic dermatology.

These experts will serve as an ongoing resource, participating in roundtables and producing content designed to clarify which ingredients and routines actually deliver results. According to CEO Nathalie Kristo, this move is intended to scale the brand's education-first philosophy as it grows. By leveraging these diverse clinical perspectives, the company plans to provide consumers with a more reliable framework for evaluating skin health products and trends.
