Fractyl Health Faces Class Action Over Alleged Clinical Data Distortions

Investors who purchased Fractyl Health, Inc. stock between January 13, 2025, and January 29, 2026, are being alerted to a pending securities class action. The lawsuit alleges the company misled shareholders by promoting clinical trial results that were skewed by undisclosed operational failures at a specific trial site.

Fractyl Health Faces Class Action Over Alleged Clinical Data Distortions

The legal complaint targets the integrity of the REMAIN-1 Midpoint Cohort study, specifically questioning the data behind the Revita DMR System. Plaintiffs claim that one of the six participating clinical sites suffered from inadequate dietary and lifestyle counseling, which significantly altered weight maintenance results. While Fractyl Health presented the cohort as a robust randomized readout, the suit asserts that the company failed to disclose the site-level execution gaps that undermined the trial's accuracy.

The market impact was immediate following the January 29, 2026, disclosure of the trial data. Fractyl shares plunged 68.03% that day and dropped another 21.37% on January 30, resulting in a cumulative decline of approximately 74.86% from the class period high of $1.83. Following the release of the six-month data, which showed a 4.5% weight regain in Revita-treated patients—falling short of analyst expectations—Morgan Stanley slashed its price target for the stock from $8.00 to $2.00.

Joseph E. Levi of Levi & Korsinsky, the firm representing the plaintiffs, stated that the case hinges on whether investors received accurate information regarding trial execution. Investors have until October 20, 2026, to seek lead plaintiff status in the Southern District of New York. Participation in the potential recovery does not require immediate action for class members, though brokerage records regarding purchase dates and share quantities are recommended for those pursuing claims.
