Ben Reed Appointed President of McGee Air Services

Reed now oversees a workforce of more than 3,200 employees responsible for ground services across six airports. His remit covers the company’s strategic growth, financial health, and the maintenance of its corporate culture. Jason Berry, Alaska Airlines chief operating officer and chair of the McGee Board, noted that Reed’s deep operational experience and established internal relationships make him the logical choice to lead the organization during this next chapter.

Reed’s history with the company is extensive. Since the subsidiary's inception, he has held multiple key roles, including two separate stints as managing director of safety and compliance. He also served as managing director of operations for the Seattle station, a position he held twice before stepping into the interim presidency in March 2026. Prior to his work with McGee, Reed spent years within Alaska Airlines in various capacities, ranging from aviation security and regulatory compliance to internal audit management.
