The collaboration marks the first European expansion for Ting Labs, which currently monitors over 1.4 million homes in North America. Its plug-in sensor technology functions by analyzing 30 million electrical signals per second to detect dangerous arcing—the precursor to most electrical fires. While Ting Labs provides the underlying firmware and cloud intelligence, Verisure will oversee the manufacturing of the branded sensors, as well as their installation and 24/7 monitoring through its existing Alarm Receiving Centre.

Verisure partners with Ting Labs to bring electrical fire prevention to Europe
Electrical faults account for nearly a third of all domestic fires in Europe, resulting in billions of euros in property damage each year. To combat this, Verisure has secured an exclusive partnership with U.S.-based Ting Labs to integrate advanced fire-prevention sensing technology into its home security ecosystem by 2027.
This integration aims to shift home protection from reactive alarm triggers to proactive hazard identification. The new service will complement Verisure’s current lineup, which includes AI-powered WiFi Vision and connected smoke alarms. Verisure CEO Austin Lally noted that the partnership reflects a broader strategic push to extend the company’s reach beyond traditional intrusion security. Following a 170-million-euro investment in innovation throughout 2025, the company plans to finalize the European rollout of the "Powered by Ting" sensor in early 2027.
