Cherokee Cablevision Upgrades MDU Video Delivery with Teleste Platform
North Carolina operator Cherokee Cablevision is modernizing its television delivery for multi-dwelling units by deploying Teleste's Luminato X32 Edge QAM platform. The system allows the operator to bridge the gap between modern fiber-delivered IP video streams and the existing coaxial infrastructure found within residential properties.
Supplied through the integrator Mega Hertz, the X32 hardware is designed for flexible installation on walls or in racks. Steve Condra, Senior Vice President of North America Sales for Teleste, stated that the solution serves as a practical bridge for operators who want to keep broadcast options active alongside broadband and streaming services. This deployment marks a strategic step for the operator as it continues to upgrade its cable infrastructure across western North Carolina.
