The company’s latest release centers on its Modicon™ PLC line, which has secured IEC 62443-3-3 Security Level 2 certification. These hardware enhancements integrate encrypted firmware and role-based access control, addressing a sector-wide concern where 60% of U.S. utility leaders now view water-related infrastructure risks as their most pressing threat.

Beyond hardware, Schneider Electric is promoting an open, software-defined approach to modernization. During the event at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, the company is highlighting its EcoStruxure™ platform and AVEVA™ CONNECT services as ways to integrate legacy systems without requiring a complete overhaul. This strategy aligns with the firm’s recent partnership expansion, notably with Charlotte-based CITI, Inc., which has reached Alliance Master status to help municipal clients implement these interoperable architectures across the Southeastern United States.
