Pongbot Secures Official Ball Machine Status for Australian Open
The Australian Open has tapped Pongbot as its official ball machine partner, a multi-year deal that embeds the Chinese robotics company’s AI-driven training technology into both the Grand Slam tournament and the National Tennis Academy starting in 2027.

Pongbot CEO Haibo Zhang noted that the integration aims to bridge the gap between sustained physical effort and measurable progress, positioning their intelligent robotics as a standard tool for player development. Tennis Australia’s Chief Commercial Officer, Cedric Cornelis, framed the deal as a strategic move to modernize the tournament’s training infrastructure. By aligning with a specialized technology provider founded in 2019, the organization intends to bolster its performance pathway while expanding the accessibility of high-level racquet sports training.
