World Insurance Associates has expanded its footprint in the greater Boston area with the acquisition of Hingham, Massachusetts-based American Insurance Agency. The deal, which finalized on June 1, 2026, marks the latest move for the Iselin, New Jersey-based brokerage to bolster its regional influence and sector-specific coverage capabilities.
Rich Eknoian, Executive Chairman and Founder of World, noted that the integration of the Hingham firm is a strategic step toward strengthening the company's presence in the Massachusetts market. While the financial terms of the transaction remain undisclosed, both parties confirmed that the acquisition was supported by legal counsel from Giordano, Halleran & Ciesla for the buyer and Mirick, O'Connell, DeMallie & Lougee, LLP for the seller.
