The Hanover Secures Dual Honors in TIME and Forbes Rankings

For the fourth consecutive year, Worcester-based The Hanover Insurance Group has earned a spot on TIME’s World’s Best Companies list, while simultaneously securing a place on Forbes’ America’s Best Insurance Companies ranking for the sixth year running, highlighting the firm’s sustained focus on disciplined growth and employee culture.

The Hanover Secures Dual Honors in TIME and Forbes Rankings

These accolades arrive as the property and casualty insurer continues to distinguish itself in a crowded market. John C. Roche, president and CEO, credited the firm’s performance to the expertise and commitment of its 4,900 employees, noting that the recognition reflects a dual focus on sustainable business results and the quality of experience provided to agent partners and policyholders.

The rankings utilize distinct methodologies to evaluate corporate health. TIME’s assessment of global organizations relies on revenue growth, sustainability transparency, and employee satisfaction data drawn from 200,000 participants. Conversely, the Forbes list, developed with Statista, centers on consumer sentiment. Out of 3,000 U.S. insurers, The Hanover was among the 112 selected based on survey feedback from 18,000 policyholders regarding customer service, transparency, and digital offerings.

Beyond these latest honors, the company maintains a consistent presence on industry watchlists, including designations from U.S. News & World Report and the Burning Glass Institute. Operating through a network of independent agents and brokers, the group continues to provide protection for individuals, families, and small to mid-sized businesses across the nation.
