Lincoln Educational Faces Securities Fraud Class Action

A 24.93% drop in Lincoln Educational Services stock has triggered a class action lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey. Investors allege the company masked significant failures in its student admissions process while publicly claiming its internal initiatives were successfully driving retention and growth.

Lincoln Educational Faces Securities Fraud Class Action

The complaint, Bacha v. Lincoln Educational Services Corporation, asserts that senior executives misled shareholders regarding the conversion rate of students from enrollment to actual attendance. While Lincoln told investors that its investments were positively impacting retention, the lawsuit claims the company concealed a widening gap between enrollment figures and actual student starts. The discrepancy came to light on August 10, 2026, when the company revealed that student starts rose only 1% despite a 9% growth in enrollment. Following the disclosure, Lincoln shares fell from $40.99 to $30.77 per share. Bleichmar Fonti & Auld LLP is representing the class, with a lead plaintiff deadline set for November 10, 2026.
