The Conagra Brands Foundation has distributed $350,000 in grants to 21 nonprofit organizations across 12 states to combat food insecurity. Unveiled during Hunger Action Month, the funding supports localized initiatives ranging from urban agriculture to youth nutrition programs, all of which were nominated by the company's own employees.

For over three decades, the Nourish Our Community program has relied on staff members to identify organizations addressing critical needs in the regions where they live and work. A cross-functional employee committee reviews these nominations annually, selecting recipients that provide essential services such as hot meals, pantry staples, and nutrition education to vulnerable populations.

Robert Rizzo, senior director of the foundation, stated that the program bridges the gap between corporate philanthropy and grassroots engagement. By supporting partners like the Chicago-based Care for Friends, Omaha’s City Sprouts, and the Charlotte-based Time Out Youth, the foundation aims to address both immediate hunger and the long-term challenges families face in accessing healthy food. These grants complement Conagra’s broader commitment to food security, which includes annual product donations and volunteer efforts across the Feeding America network.
