Public safety dispatch centers and small data centers often rely on legacy uninterruptible power supplies that offer only minutes of backup. Kansas City-based Evoltix is now addressing these mission-critical needs by extending its battery-first Zero-Glitch Power Module line to support three-phase service, providing hours of runtime.
Central to the system is the IntelliCore management platform. It integrates grid, solar, and generator inputs while utilizing machine learning to identify potential faults before they cause failures. According to Vice President of Sales Scott Tampke, the expansion directly answers demand from 911 centers for reliable, long-duration backup that avoids the pitfalls of short-term legacy solutions. To demonstrate the financial impact of this shift, Evoltix launched a TCO Studio tool. Their modeling of a four-site public safety deployment suggests a 47% reduction in ten-year ownership costs compared to traditional UPS setups, driven largely by lower maintenance requirements and the elimination of recurring battery replacement cycles.
