Phylo Debuts Target Atlas to Accelerate Drug Discovery
Only one in ten clinical drug programs secures approval, a bottleneck driven by fragmented research and manual target assessment. South San Francisco-based Phylo is now launching Target Atlas, an AI-driven platform designed to compress months of evidence-gathering into days by automating target prioritization across thousands of disease assessments.
A central component of the launch is a partnership with The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research. This edition integrates the foundation's established Targets to Therapies framework, allowing researchers to explore prioritized Parkinson’s targets through a transparent, evidence-linked interface. While a public version covers thousands of assessments, Phylo is also offering an enterprise edition capable of processing over 20,000 targets per disease with proprietary data integration. According to Phylo CEO Kexin Huang, the goal is to standardize this model across all major diseases, enabling foundations and research consortia to publish expert-validated frameworks directly to the scientific community.
