This single-award vehicle bypasses traditional competitive bidding for individual task orders, aiming to accelerate the deployment of secure mission-critical tools across distributed operational environments.
Rob Slaughter, co-founder and CEO of Defense Unicorns, stated that the agreement marks a shift toward on-demand commercial technology acquisition. By removing the need for new competitions for every requirement, the vehicle aims to eliminate the friction between mission speed and security protocols. The company, founded in 2021, already maintains a footprint within the U.S. Navy, Air Force, and Space Force, with its software currently supporting over 100 mission systems.
