Milwaukee Tool Commits $200 Million to Skilled Trades Pipeline
By 2030, Milwaukee Tool expects its total investment in American skilled trades workforce development to exceed $200 million. The Brookfield-based manufacturer has officially joined the Alliance for America's Skilled Trades, a coalition focused on expanding training pathways and closing the national labor gap in essential technical sectors.
Shane Moll, group president of Milwaukee Tool, noted that the firm views the growth of the trades as a prerequisite for national economic health. Lisa Gevelber, founder of Grow with Google, highlighted the company’s track record of funding local training infrastructure as a primary reason for their addition to the Alliance. Beyond these specific workforce programs, Milwaukee Tool has directed more than $2 billion into its U.S. operations over the past decade, adding 4,000 domestic jobs within the last five years. The company currently employs 11,000 people across 34 facilities in the United States.
