Ascensus Connects 16 Million Savers to Financial Advisors

With sixty-three percent of 401(k) participants lacking professional guidance, Ascensus is launching a platform designed to bridge the gap between workplace retirement accounts and personal wealth management. The initiative aims to support savers during life transitions without disrupting existing relationships between advisors and their clients.

Ascensus Connects 16 Million Savers to Financial Advisors

The platform focuses on key financial moments, such as job changes and retirement, by integrating participant data with advisor engagement tools. Rather than acting as a competitor to financial professionals, Ascensus positions itself as a neutral intermediary. According to Dan Morrison, President of Retirement at Ascensus, the company aims to provide access to advice by leveraging its existing footprint as a recordkeeper for over 16 million individuals.

Josh Rundle, Head of Investment and Wealth Solutions, noted that the model creates a pathway between employer-sponsored savings and broader financial planning. The system allows plan sponsors to offer enhanced wellness support while providing advisors with new opportunities to engage participants. Ascensus is rolling out this infrastructure with select firms and plans to scale connectivity across its network of financial institutions in the coming months.
