Clever Closings Expands Digital Real Estate Platform to 13 States

With plans to enter Ohio and Pennsylvania by year-end, Clever Closings is scaling its footprint to 13 states, covering markets that represent roughly 60% of all U.S. home sales. The expansion marks a rapid rise for the St. Louis-based division, which has grown from three states to eleven since June 2025.

Clever Closings Expands Digital Real Estate Platform to 13 States

The company’s model hinges on a centralized digital platform that automates document review and wire screening, allowing its staff to prioritize human-centric closing tasks. By tying escrow officer compensation to client survey scores rather than transaction volume, the firm reports a 90% five-star rating. This tech-forward approach removes the need for traditional, office-heavy infrastructure, letting the company serve diverse local markets without high overhead costs.

Tony Chahal, who was promoted to President of Agent Network and Closings in July 2026, oversees both the platform’s 13,000 active agents and the title business he founded in 2023. The division is currently on pace to increase its transaction volume by nearly 70% this year. To support the upcoming launch in the Midwest, the firm is actively recruiting licensed escrow officers and branch managers in both Ohio and Pennsylvania.
