Bee Chun Boo Joins Greenberg Traurig to Lead Asia M&A Expansion
After 28 years at Baker McKenzie, Bee Chun Boo has joined Greenberg Traurig as a shareholder to spearhead the firm’s mergers and acquisitions practice across Asia. Her move signals a strategic push by the global law firm to capture increasing cross-border investment flows between Asian markets and the rest of the world.
Greenberg Traurig Vice Chair Richard A. Edlin noted that the appointment aligns with the firm’s goal of integrating local market expertise into its broader international platform. Joseph Kim, managing shareholder of the firm’s Singapore office, emphasized that modern transactions require seamless coordination across borders, a capability bolstered by Boo’s arrival. Since entering the Asian market in 2008 with a Shanghai office, Greenberg Traurig has expanded its footprint to include Seoul, Tokyo, and Singapore.
