Axxcess Wealth Management Debuts Diagnostic Tools for Orion Users

The firm, which manages $14.4 billion in platform assets, launched a benchmark assessment to evaluate Orion software utilization alongside a readiness roadmap for prospective independent advisors.

The Orion Utilization Benchmark offers firms a 24-question audit covering core functions such as billing, trading, and vendor expenditure. Following the six-minute assessment, Axxcess specialists conduct a 30-minute optimization session targeting the firm's specific operational gaps. This service complements the firm's broader insourcing model, where former Orion support staff take over day-to-day management of the client’s existing database. By removing the traditional vendor layer, Axxcess allows firms to maintain their own branding while leveraging internal applications for trade surveillance and billing automation.

For those contemplating a transition, the Independence Readiness Assessment evaluates seven critical dimensions, including book portability and contract economics. According to COO Jon Brackmann, the goal is to shift the operational burden from external vendors to an internal, scalable infrastructure. Director of Platform Services Adrienne Rivett emphasized that the process begins with a signed NDA, allowing advisors to model W-2 versus independent economics and review potential MOU terms before making any formal commitment to the platform.
