Javitt’s practice focuses on navigating the intricate legal requirements for medical device, diagnostic, and pharmaceutical companies. She specializes in guiding clients through the entire product lifecycle, from clinical trials and FDA approvals to post-market enforcement actions. Beyond her commercial work, she holds significant expertise in the regulation of genomic interpretation and laboratory-developed tests, an area of increasing complexity for life sciences firms.

Co-President Ernest LaMont Greer emphasized that the hire aligns with the firm’s strategy to deepen its bench in Washington as regulatory pressures on innovative industries mount. Javitt’s background includes academic roles at institutions such as Johns Hopkins and Georgetown, where she helped shape policy regarding genetic technologies and precision medicine. Her arrival follows a series of strategic expansions within the firm’s health care division, including recent hires in Dallas and Sacramento, as Greenberg Traurig continues to scale its global regulatory footprint.
