Bahrain Prepares to Host Gateway Gulf Forum for Global Economic Leaders

With a combined economy exceeding USD 2.38 trillion, the Gulf Cooperation Council is drawing 200 senior decision-makers to Manama this November. The fourth edition of Gateway Gulf aims to transform high-level dialogue into concrete investment, focusing on sustainable growth and the shifting dynamics of global capital flows.

Bahrain Prepares to Host Gateway Gulf Forum for Global Economic Leaders

The invitation-only forum, hosted by the Bahrain Economic Development Board, will convene at the Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay from November 1-2, 2026. Under the theme Reimagining Global Partnerships, Powering Sustainable Growth, participants from across the Middle East, Asia, Europe, and the Americas will address the strategic connectivity corridors shaping the modern world. Bahrain serves as the backdrop for these discussions, leveraging its own economic model where non-oil sectors now account for 86% of the national GDP.

Building on the success of the 2025 event, which yielded more than USD 17 billion in announced transactions, this year’s program prioritizes dealmaking and executive engagement. Discussions are slated to cover the rise of the intelligence economy and the expansion of the Gulf’s role in global competitiveness. By facilitating private meetings and investment showcases, the forum seeks to replicate the track record of previous years, which featured high-profile leaders such as Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Lubna S. Olayan, and Martin Gilbert.
