Link brings over 15 years of industry experience to the role, having managed more than $30 billion in real estate equity and debt investments throughout his career. His background includes a seven-year tenure at the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, where he oversaw a $12 billion portfolio, alongside earlier roles at The Carlyle Group. At Anchor, he will take charge of capital allocation, portfolio strategy, and institutional capital relationships, reporting directly to CEO Ben Ochs.

Joseph E. Link, formerly a Principal with Blackstone’s U.S. Real Estate Core+ Strategy, will join Charlottesville-based Anchor Health Properties as Chief Investment Officer on November 1, 2026. The appointment marks a strategic shift for the firm as it looks to expand its footprint in the medical outpatient sector.

Anchor Health Properties currently manages nearly 9 million square feet of medical space and has deployed $3.5 billion into stabilized healthcare facilities. By integrating Link’s institutional background, the firm aims to refine its development and acquisition pipeline while navigating the complexities of the healthcare real estate market. Link holds degrees from the University of Virginia’s McIntire School of Commerce and James Madison University.
