The transition, finalized in Morristown, New Jersey, brings a specialized group of media and entertainment finance professionals into a broader community of senior corporate executives. While MFM members retain their established programming—including the Financial Leaders Forum and various executive summits—they now operate under the umbrella of the 1931-founded FEI. This consolidation allows media finance experts to leverage FEI’s deep research capacity and cross-industry peer connections, while providing the wider association with expertise in navigating complex revenue models like subscription bundles and AI-driven financial reporting.

Financial Executives International Absorbs Media Finance Association
Financial Executives International (FEI) officially launched its first industry-specific division today, integrating the Media Financial Management Association (MFM) into its organizational structure. The move grants approximately 1,200 former MFM members full access to FEI’s extensive professional network, research resources, and nationwide chapter system following a successful merger vote.

Andrej Suskavcevic, President and CEO of FEI, noted that media executives are currently grappling with structural challenges that are becoming increasingly common across other sectors, such as content valuation and shifting distribution strategies. By placing these professionals within a larger financial organization, FEI aims to accelerate the exchange of best practices. Joseph Annotti, who transitioned from his role as President and CEO of MFM to lead the new Media Finance Section, emphasized that the merger preserves the integrity of the media-specific community while significantly expanding the professional tools and geographic networking opportunities available to its participants.
