CEO Paige Schaffer positions this milestone as a strategic shift for brands, arguing that businesses have a unique opportunity to deepen consumer loyalty by embedding protection directly into their services. By shifting the burden of security from the user to the platform, companies can differentiate themselves in a competitive market while addressing the growing sophistication of cybercriminals.

Iris OnWatch Marks Decade of Cybersecurity Advocacy
For the tenth consecutive year, identity protection firm Iris OnWatch is backing Cybersecurity Awareness Month, aligning with the National Cybersecurity Alliance’s "Don't Make it Easy for Them" initiative to promote daily habits that thwart digital fraud and help businesses integrate seamless security for their customers.

To further these efforts, the company will host a joint webinar with the Global Anti-Scam Alliance on October 21, 2026. The discussion, titled "Where People Turn When Something Goes Wrong," explores the reality that only 40% of scam victims report incidents to authorities, with most turning instead to the platforms they use daily. According to Nils Mueller, Director of GASA’s North America Chapter, this underscores why integrated cyber protection has become a necessity rather than a luxury. With data showing over 80% of U.S. adults facing at least one fraud attempt annually, Iris plans to utilize the month to roll out targeted infographics and educational content aimed at helping individuals identify and neutralize threats before damage occurs.
