The collaboration aligns critical power pathways from the initial generation stage through to digital monitoring and the final IT load. By synchronizing these interfaces from the project’s inception, the companies aim to minimize handoffs and reduce the reliance on traditional, sequential delivery models that frequently cause delays.

Wärtsilä, Schneider Electric and Stanley Consultants Partner on AI Power
To combat the slow grid interconnection timelines stalling U.S. data centers, Wärtsilä, Schneider Electric and Stanley Consultants have unveiled a coordinated “Generator-to-Chip” delivery model. The initiative integrates onsite power generation, electrical infrastructure and engineering services to accelerate project completion for high-density AI-driven facilities.

Wärtsilä provides modular, rapid-start engine power plants, while Schneider Electric contributes the necessary electrical architecture and automation systems. Stanley Consultants rounds out the partnership by managing engineering, permitting, and construction oversight. According to Risto Paldanius, Vice President of Americas at Wärtsilä Energy, the strategy addresses the reality that power availability has become the primary constraint on data center schedules. Melton Chang, Executive Vice President of Power Systems at Schneider Electric, noted that this system-wide approach allows developers to scale AI capacity within grid-flexible frameworks. The partners believe this integrated delivery will provide greater execution certainty for both grid-connected and islanded energy configurations.
