The Heart Monitors Uses AI to Make Civility a Measurable Metric

In a digital landscape fractured by polarization, the independent firm The Heart Monitors is attempting to quantify civility. By deploying an AI-driven system that maps emotional tensions, the agency transforms abstract human sentiment into concrete participation, earning industry recognition for its unconventional approach to social media strategy.

The Heart Monitors Uses AI to Make Civility a Measurable Metric

Founded by global marketer Robin Lemberg with offices in New York and Paris, the agency operates under the banner of a "Feelings Company." Its proprietary platform, which utilizes over forty distinct AI modules, functions as a closed-loop system: it identifies cultural trends, generates creative content through Civil Media’s flagship project Don't Hate Debate TV, and tracks behavioral signals from the resulting audience engagement. This data then informs subsequent creative cycles, effectively turning viewer responses into a roadmap for future campaigns.

The strategy has yielded measurable results in its inaugural year. The platform produced over 600 pieces of content, securing more than 10 million views and 220,000 specific participation actions—all on a media spend of less than $60,000. Community polls conducted by the team saw a 12.4% participation rate, while video content maintained completion rates between 50% and 63%. These metrics have caught the attention of industry bodies, leading to a 2026 Webby Honoree designation for the firm's use of AI in public service.

Lemberg insists that the technology is intended to supplement, not replace, human creative judgment. The agency is currently competing as an OMMA Award finalist alongside industry heavyweights like HBO Max and Razorfish. By positioning civility as a brandable asset, the firm aims to provide political organizations and commercial brands with a viable framework for navigating cultural friction without resorting to the inflammatory tactics that currently dominate online discourse.
