Rightfiber Expands Nebraska Network with Fastwyre Acquisition
The telecommunications landscape in Nebraska shifted today as Rightfiber finalized its acquisition of Fastwyre Broadband’s state operations. This move integrates a broad range of communities into the company’s fiber network, marking a significant expansion for the provider, which formed earlier this year through the merger of Ritter Communications and Great Plains Communications.

This expansion underscores a long-term strategy for the Grain Management portfolio company to solidify its presence in the region. Executive Chairman Todd Foje noted that the acquisition honors a 115-year legacy of service in Nebraska, aiming to strengthen relationships with local businesses and residents. Rightfiber is currently coordinating the integration of billing and service systems, with direct communications planned to guide customers through the transition to their new provider.
