This year’s cohort spans a wide array of disciplines, including computer science, cybersecurity, finance, engineering, and supply chain management. According to ELC President and CEO Michael C. Hyter, the program is designed to identify and cultivate high-potential talent well before they reach executive levels, ensuring that future leadership remains robust and capable of navigating complex business landscapes.
Beyond academic success, the demographic profile of the 2026 class underscores a commitment to expanding economic mobility. Thirty percent of the scholars are first-generation college students, and 95 percent possess documented campus leadership experience. Leah N. Wade, Senior Director of Philanthropy at the ELC, noted that reducing the financial burden of tuition provides these students with greater career flexibility and a stronger starting point as they enter the workforce. The program is backed by a coalition of corporate partners and legacy funds, including support from The Coca-Cola Foundation, HSBC, and Lowe's.
