The rebranding marks a decade-long evolution for the company. While founded on the promise of battery innovation, leadership now emphasizes the transition toward manufacturing execution. Indianapolis Battery Maker EnPower Rebrands as CAMINUS
Drawing from the Roman myth of the forge that crafted Jupiter’s lightning, Indianapolis-based lithium-ion manufacturer EnPower has rebranded as CAMINUS. The shift signals a strategic pivot from a research-focused startup to a high-volume domestic supplier for defense, uncrewed systems, and critical industrial infrastructure.

Operating out of a 92,000-square-foot facility in the Midwest, CAMINUS maintains full vertical integration. Its production line spans from initial slurry mixing to final cell formation. By aligning its supply chain with NDAA Section 842 requirements, the firm positions itself as a specialized manufacturer for high-stakes sectors. The company will continue to offer contract manufacturing services, including toll-coated electrodes and custom pouch cells, alongside its proprietary battery product lines.
