After nearly 75 years of operation, Canadian HVAC-R distributor The Master Group has appointed Rémy Langelier as president, effective immediately. This leadership shift initiates a planned succession process, with Langelier set to officially succeed current Chief Executive Officer Louis St-Laurent in the first quarter of 2027.

Langelier brings a history of internal leadership to the role, having previously managed enterprise transformation, technology, and strategy departments. His recent work focused on scaling the company’s capabilities across North America. As the largest HVAC-R distributor in Canada, the firm operates nearly 100 branches and supports a wide range of industrial, commercial, and residential projects. Langelier intends to focus on leveraging these existing relationships while pursuing new market opportunities.
