The latest capital injection was spearheaded by Andreessen Horowitz and Accel, drawing participation from a broad coalition of investors including Bain Capital Ventures, Redpoint, 8VC, and Google Ventures. This rapid financial scaling follows a $190 million Series A round in March, bringing Armadin’s total raised capital to over $445 million within half a year.

Kevin Mandia launches Armadin with $2.5 billion valuation
Kevin Mandia, the architect behind the $5.4 billion sale of Mandiant to Google, has secured $255.5 million in Series B funding for his new cybersecurity venture, Armadin. The company, which specializes in autonomous agent swarms for defense testing, reached a valuation of $2.5 billion just months after its initial launch.

Armadin shifts the traditional model of cybersecurity defense by replacing periodic, human-led penetration testing with a system of always-on agentic swarms. These autonomous digital units actively chain vulnerabilities to simulate attacks, allowing enterprises to identify and patch security gaps before malicious actors or rogue AI agents can exploit them. By mimicking the persistent pressure of modern cyber threats, the platform aims to provide a continuous, automated shield for corporate infrastructure.
