Based near Copenhagen, the acquired company specializes in producing active pharmaceutical ingredients and advanced intermediates, with a particular focus on controlled substances used in treatments for opioid use disorder and ADHD. Its cGMP-certified facility has maintained commercial production since 2015, serving pharmaceutical markets across Europe, North America, and the Middle East. Financial details of the transaction remain undisclosed.

Following the acquisition, Jean-François Hilaire, formerly of Unither and Recipharm, will join the board as Chair. Samfara partners Helena Malchione and James Cocker stated the investment aligns with their strategy of targeting companies in complex niches that require both capital and operational support. CEO Thomas Moestrup, who is investing alongside the new owners, intends to use the partnership to pursue both organic growth and potential future acquisitions.
