Energenesis Biomedical Targets Korean Market for Diabetic Ulcer Gel

The partnership leverages Energenesis' proprietary small-molecule research, which focuses on modulating cellular energy pathways to boost intracellular ATP levels. By combining this technology with Yoo Young Pharm's established clinical and commercial network in South Korea, the companies aim to finalize a definitive licensing agreement following further negotiations.

Clinical data supporting the candidate remains a focal point of the collaboration. A post-hoc analysis of a Phase II study showed that patients meeting specific eligibility criteria achieved a 36.7% complete wound closure rate over 12 weeks, compared to 9.1% for those using a vehicle control. Energenesis continues to utilize AI-driven drug repurposing to advance this treatment, while Yoo Young Pharm provides the regional manufacturing and regulatory infrastructure necessary to navigate the Korean market.
