Mayfair Gold Taps Daniel Janusauskas to Lead Fenn-Gib Technical Strategy

With a construction decision looming for its flagship Fenn-Gib gold project, Mayfair Gold has named mining engineer Daniel Janusauskas as its new Vice President of Technical Services. The appointment, effective November 1, signals a push to transition the Ontario-based developer from exploration into a fully operational gold producer.

Janusauskas joins the company after a tenure as Technical Services Manager at Generation Mining, where he navigated the Marathon Copper-Palladium Project through feasibility updates and project financing. His background includes leadership roles at Baffinland Iron Mines and Detour Gold, bringing a track record of operational ramp-ups and life-of-mine planning to the Fenn-Gib site.

CEO Drew Anwyll highlighted Janusauskas’s engineering pedigree as a critical asset for the project’s next phase. Fenn-Gib currently holds a 4.3-million-ounce indicated mineral resource, with a 2026 Pre-Feasibility Study targeting a near-surface, 1-million-ounce probable reserve. The company aims to initiate construction by 2028, setting the stage for initial production to come online by 2030. Janusauskas, a McGill University graduate and recipient of the CIM-Bedford Canadian Young Mining Leaders Award, will be responsible for de-risking the project as it moves through permitting and detailed engineering.
