Paramount Coffee Launches Farm-Direct Cold Brew Line

At the 2026 NACS Show in Las Vegas, Lansing-based Paramount Coffee is unveiling "One Good Can of Coffee," a new ready-to-drink line that emphasizes supply chain transparency. The 11-ounce beverages, certified by One Big Island In Space (OBIIS), aim to bridge the gap between premium convenience and sustainable sourcing.

The new lineup features three distinct varieties: OBIIS Original, Mocha, and Caramel cold brews, all crafted from 100% Arabica beans. By working directly with farmers to evaluate labor and environmental practices, the company intends to shorten traditional supply chains and return more value to local producers. According to Rich Schaafsma, President of Paramount Coffee, the initiative focuses on creating lasting community impact alongside product quality.

This strategy targets a shifting retail landscape where consumer preference increasingly favors ethical production. Data from the NYU Stern Center for Sustainable Business and Circana indicates that sustainability-marketed goods have driven nearly 45% of U.S. consumer packaged goods market growth over the last 13 years, with 85% of shoppers reporting a preference for responsible brands. The cans will be available for purchase through the company’s website starting in late October, marking a significant expansion of Paramount’s ready-to-drink portfolio following their earlier release of Joe Knows Coffee.
