NorthCountry Federal Credit Union Announces Leadership Overhaul
Seven internal promotions and three expanded executive roles signal a strategic shift at NorthCountry Federal Credit Union. By elevating veteran staff across operations, technology, and member services, the Burlington-based cooperative is moving to cement its footprint across Vermont and northern New York ahead of a high-profile retirement.

Beyond these appointments, three existing executives will see their mandates broadened. Jeff Smith becomes Chief Credit & Impact Officer, Kathryn Lagerstedt takes on the role of Chief Experience Officer, and Nik Khosla will focus on Information Security and Data Intelligence. These organizational updates coincide with the planned January 2027 retirement of Luanne Cantor, who served the institution for over a decade in various leadership capacities. The credit union expects all transitions to be finalized by early 2027.
