Overhaul Expands Cold Chain Platform with Predictive Risk Intelligence

Austin-based supply chain firm Overhaul is integrating real-time temperature tracking with predictive risk analytics to help life sciences and food logistics teams move beyond simple alert management. The update aims to unify fragmented shipment data into a single platform, allowing for faster intervention and audit-ready compliance documentation.

Overhaul Expands Cold Chain Platform with Predictive Risk Intelligence

The platform now synthesizes sensor, telematics, and API-driven data into a cohesive view, regardless of the hardware used by carriers. By leveraging two decades of telemetry data, the company’s AI identifies potential threats before they escalate, while new filters distinguish between pre-departure cooling phases and actual in-transit excursions. This reduction in false alarms allows operations teams to prioritize genuine threats to high-value, temperature-sensitive inventory.

Beyond technical upgrades, Overhaul has appointed a dedicated cold-chain specialist team—including Stefan Surpitski, Melita Marks, Todd Thompson, Nate Morrison, and Peggy Johnson—to align product development with evolving industry regulations. Their focus includes ensuring reporting meets rigorous GxP, USP <1079>, and FSMA compliance standards, specifically addressing the requirements of 21 CFR Part 11 and Annex 11. Overhaul currently monitors over $1.4 trillion in global shipment value, serving sectors where product integrity is tied directly to regulatory and financial stability.
