Gridiron Capital Acquires Stake in Lawn Care Giant Weed Man
North America’s largest lawn care franchisor, Weed Man, has secured a strategic investment from private equity firm Gridiron Capital. The partnership aims to scale the company’s residential service operations across the United States and Canada, while CEO Jennifer Lemcke retains her leadership role to guide the brand’s next growth phase.
Gridiron Capital, which has previously backed residential service providers like Leaf Home and Erie Home, intends to deploy its operational resources to support the existing management team. Tom Burger, co-founder of Gridiron, emphasized that the firm aims to preserve the brand’s established local ownership culture while scaling its reach. Although financial terms remain undisclosed, the deal marks a significant consolidation in the home services market, positioning Weed Man to capture further share in the lawn care sector.
