Kattan arrives from Baker Botts LLP, bringing a background that includes a five-year tenure at the ITC as a senior investigative attorney for the U.S. government. Her expertise covers a range of sectors, including semiconductors, medical devices, and telecommunications, often involving proceedings before district courts and the Patent Trial and Appeal Board.

Mandy Reeves, managing partner of the firm’s D.C. office, noted that Kattan’s technical fluency and familiarity with high-stakes investigations align with the firm's recent growth. Her appointment follows a series of strategic hires within the intellectual property division, which has added five trial lawyers over the past year. Global practice chair Kevin Wheeler emphasized that Kattan’s addition is intended to bolster a team that has secured three trial victories in the last two years.
