BGM Expands Into New England With Norwalk Acquisition
Bloomington-based accounting firm BGM has officially acquired Norwalk’s R. L. DePanfilis & Company, marking its inaugural entry into the Connecticut market. The move integrates a four-decade-old practice into BGM’s national structure, signaling a strategic effort to bolster the firm’s reach across the New England region.

BGM CEO Dane J. Boeckermann noted that the alignment of service philosophies prompted the deal, which was facilitated by Joe Tarasco of Accountants Advisory Group. For local clients, the merger promises stability in daily operations while granting access to BGM’s expanded wealth management and trust services. This consolidation broadens BGM’s geographic footprint, reinforcing its presence as a top-tier national advisory firm.
