Since founder Sergey Konchakovskiy first dipped yogurt into chocolate to replicate a childhood treat, the Piscataway-based company has redefined the category by bridging the gap between indulgence and health. Under the leadership of CEO John McGuckin, who joined in 2021, the brand has quadrupled its revenue and secured shelf space in approximately 60,000 stores nationwide. The firm currently operates an 86,000-square-foot facility to meet the rising demand for its original bars and newer multi-pack mini versions.

Stride Consumer Partners Acquires Greek Yogurt Bar Maker Clio Snacks
A batch of over-strained yogurt accidentally left in a refrigerator in 2015 sparked a business that now produces 150 million bars annually. Stride Consumer Partners has acquired a majority stake in Clio Snacks, betting on the continued success of the company’s unique handheld approach to the competitive yogurt aisle.
The investment from Stride, a Boston-based growth-equity firm with $1.3 billion in assets, aims to accelerate this trajectory. Juan Marcos Hill, a partner at Stride, highlighted the brand’s distinct position in the better-for-you snacking space as a primary driver for the deal. Moving forward, the capital will be directed toward expanding distribution channels and enhancing manufacturing capabilities to cement Clio’s status as a leader in the refrigerated snack sector.
