Autodesk Elevates Diana Colella to Lead Architecture and Construction

Diana Colella has been appointed executive vice president of Autodesk’s architecture, engineering and construction division, stepping into the role as the company pushes to integrate AI deeper into its industry cloud, Forma. She succeeds Amy Bunszel, who is set to depart the software giant on November 2, 2026.

Autodesk Elevates Diana Colella to Lead Architecture and Construction

Colella inherits the company’s largest business unit, tasked with bridging the gap between legacy desktop stalwarts like Revit and Civil 3D and the evolving Forma platform. CEO Andrew Anagnost pointed to her history of managing major technology shifts, specifically citing her recent work leading the AI-driven transformation of Autodesk’s Media & Entertainment business. In that capacity, she oversaw the development of the Flow platform and integrated strategic acquisitions such as Wonder Dynamics.

With nearly thirty years of tenure at Autodesk, Colella’s background spans finance, sales, and product management, beginning with the acquisition of Discreet Logic. Her immediate mandate involves scaling AI capabilities to reduce project friction and streamline workflows for engineers and architects. While she assumes control of the AEC division, she will temporarily retain oversight of the Media & Entertainment group until a successor for that unit is named.
