Sakrete Launches Concrete Combat Contest for Jobsite Professionals

Moving away from studio-based contests, Sakrete is inviting contractors to document their real-world projects for the reimagined Concrete Combat competition. The program aims to highlight technical precision and problem-solving skills, offering winners a $10,000 cash prize and an all-expenses-paid trip to the 2027 World of Concrete in Las Vegas.

Contractors interested in participating must submit up to four minutes of video footage featuring Sakrete products used in current hardscape, masonry, or structural projects. Organizers emphasize that production quality is irrelevant; the judging panel will evaluate entries based on craftsmanship, authenticity, storytelling, and the project's overall impact. Dirk Tharpe, a territory sales manager at Sakrete, noted that the initiative serves to put the platform directly in the hands of the tradespeople who define the industry.

Submissions are open through November 15, 2026. Following the initial entry period, industry experts will narrow the field to semi-finalists and finalists. A public voting phase will then allow fellow contractors and industry supporters to weigh in on the final champion. Beyond the cash prize, the winner will receive a professional-grade equipment package from industry partners including Marshall Town Company, Collomix, and Mud Mixer. The final winner will be announced during the World of Concrete event on January 21, 2027.
