Karl Wiley Takes Helm of Doubtless North American Operations

After a four-decade career in the insurance sector, Kirk Haggard is stepping down as the regional leader for Doubtless, with industry veteran Karl Wiley tapped to succeed him starting October 12, 2026. Karl Wiley Takes Helm of Doubtless North American Operations

Wiley joins the global pet insurance organization following a thirty-year career that included tenures at Allstate, eBay, and Shutterfly. CEO Dirk Beeckman cited Wiley’s track record in scaling businesses and enhancing operational efficiency as the primary drivers for his appointment. The incoming president is expected to focus on expanding access to veterinary care and managing the company’s diverse range of pet health brands.

Haggard, who previously served as CEO of Independence Pet Holdings, oversaw the transition of the business into the rebranded Doubtless entity. His departure marks the end of a long tenure that helped consolidate the company's footprint in North America. Under the new leadership, the organization aims to continue its growth strategy across its ten global markets, prioritizing data-driven care decisions for pet owners.
