Since opening its doors in 2021, the school has focused on bridging the gap between classroom instruction and real-world execution. Students utilize a 2,400-square-foot Dolby Atmos studio and participate in specialized coursework, such as a financial management program developed in partnership with JPMorgan Chase. Billboard Names Roc Nation School to Top Music Business List Again
For the third consecutive year, the Roc Nation School of Music, Sports & Entertainment at Long Island University has secured a spot on Billboard’s annual Top Music Business Schools list. The Brooklyn-based institution earned the distinction for its industry-aligned curriculum and direct access to high-level professional networks.

The school’s profile continues to grow through high-profile initiatives and mentorship. Recently, students attended the premiere of the HBO documentary "JAŸ-Z In 8" at The Metropolitan Opera House, with attire expenses covered by the Shawn Carter Foundation. Furthermore, Grammy-winning producer Young Guru, who leads the school's music technology and entrepreneurship program, recently established a new four-year, full-tuition scholarship for incoming freshmen. These efforts, combined with the existing Roc Nation Hope Scholarships, underscore a commitment to providing pathways for students from diverse financial backgrounds.
