xFusion Joins Linux Foundation to Standardize AI Infrastructure

xFusion, a global provider of AI computing infrastructure, has officially joined the Linux Foundation as a Silver member. The partnership aims to accelerate the development of open-source benchmarks and interoperability standards for increasingly complex, heterogeneous AI environments spanning multiple accelerators and foundation models.

xFusion Joins Linux Foundation to Standardize AI Infrastructure

The collaboration centers on the SODA Foundation, a community under the Linux Foundation umbrella dedicated to data and AI infrastructure. xFusion intends to leverage its Singapore Open Lab—a neutral innovation hub—to foster global cooperation between hardware vendors, researchers, and enterprise users. By contributing technical expertise and code to upstream projects, the company seeks to move beyond proprietary silos toward standardized methodologies for measuring and optimizing AI system efficiency.

Fan RuiQi, CTO and President of Central Research at xFusion, noted that the industry currently lacks vendor-neutral frameworks to manage diverse AI deployments. In response, the company is advancing an open framework for AI Infrastructure Efficiency & Intelligence. A key component of this initiative is Aitra, an open reference platform currently incubating under SODA. Michael Dolan, SVP at the Linux Foundation, welcomed the move, emphasizing that xFusion’s commitment to sharing its benchmarking and observability research provides a foundation for the broader open-source community to build upon.
