PSI Fuels Establishes Canadian Subsidiary to Scale CNG and RNG Projects
Driven by shifting fleet economics and Canada’s Clean Fuel Regulations, Arizona-based PSI Fuels is deepening its northern footprint. The company launched PSI Fuels Canada Ltd. this week, transitioning from sporadic cross-border contracting to a permanent local presence focused on compressed and renewable natural gas infrastructure across the country.
According to PSI leadership, the move is calculated to capitalize on the widening price gap between conventional diesel and alternative fuels. For specific Canadian fleet applications, the company estimates fuel-cost savings exceeding 70%. Beyond direct operational expenses, the integration of Canada’s Clean Fuel Regulations allows operators to generate additional value through carbon-related credits. Executive Vice President Aaron Lay noted that while environmental targets provide momentum, the firm’s strategy remains rooted in the practical economic viability of CNG and RNG infrastructure.
