Commvault Taps Matthew Stauble to Lead Global Customer Operations

Matthew Stauble, a veteran executive previously at Alteryx and Palo Alto Networks, has been named Chief Customer Officer at Commvault. Reporting to President Geoff Haydon, Stauble will oversee the company's global customer engineering, professional services, and support divisions as the firm pivots toward AI-driven data resilience.

Stauble arrives at the Tinton Falls-based firm with a track record of scaling service organizations during high-growth phases. During his tenure at Palo Alto Networks, he managed the global customer services department as the company expanded from millions to billions in revenue. This experience is expected to directly support Commvault’s efforts to streamline the customer lifecycle, from initial technical evaluation through long-term expansion and renewal cycles.

The appointment reflects Commvault’s strategic focus on the intersection of AI adoption and cyber resilience. As enterprises integrate increasingly complex AI tools, the demand for rapid recovery and risk mitigation has intensified. Stauble is tasked with guiding clients through these operational shifts, ensuring that technical investments translate into continuous business availability. Haydon emphasized that Stauble’s specific background in security and end-to-end customer management aligns with the company’s objective to strengthen its position as a provider of unified data protection in an evolving threat landscape.
