Dr. Andrew Serazin Named President and CEO of the Fetzer Institute
Dr. Andrew Serazin will take the helm of the Kalamazoo-based Fetzer Institute in January 2027, tasked with steering the organization toward its founding mission of bridging scientific inquiry with spiritual depth. He succeeds interim leader Dr. Jeffrey Bullock following an extensive, board-led global search for a new executive.

Before his tenure at Oxford, Serazin spent eight years leading the Templeton World Charity Foundation, where he oversaw initiatives spanning neuroscience, artificial intelligence, and the science of character. His background also includes seven years at the Gates Foundation managing global health projects. Serazin, a Rhodes Scholar and Notre Dame alumnus, views science and spirituality as twin pillars of societal progress, both driven by an innate human need to seek truth. He will lead the Institute's efforts to catalyze a global movement focused on spiritual solutions for modern social problems.
