Peter Toomey, who has spent four years at the firm, transitions from chief development officer to chief operating officer. He will now oversee project execution, asset management, and grid integration, effectively bridging the gap between construction and long-term performance. The move signals a shift toward tighter integration of the company’s internal operations and its development pipeline.

Cypress Creek Energy Shuffles Executive Deck to Scale Infrastructure
Cypress Creek Energy is restructuring its executive leadership team, naming a new chief operating officer, chief people officer, and an executive vice president for its solutions arm. The Durham-based firm, which recently secured $3.5 billion for the Steel River project in Arkansas, is moving to consolidate its operational and development arms.

Joining the leadership team are Nancy Bucher and Billy Wang. Bucher, formerly of Golin Ketchum, takes the role of chief people officer to manage talent acquisition and organizational culture as the company expands. Wang, tasked with leading Cypress Creek Solutions, steps in to manage an asset portfolio that currently spans 8.6 gigawatts across 24 states. These additions arrive as the company seeks to maintain its momentum in delivering utility-scale solar and storage projects, including the massive Arkansas initiative backed by Google.
